Handbuilding Classes
Three sessions of 3 hours each for groups of 4 to 6 people.
Participant Requirements:
Over the age of 16 with or without previous experience.

Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Description:
This workshop teaches how to build functional ware or small sculptural work through the techniques of pinching, coiling and slab-building.
The first session provides a brief introduction to the various types of clay, their applications and wedging process. Following the presentation, participants can then begin to build their own pieces.
In the second session, the pieces are finished with decorative carving. Each participant may complete up to two pieces which will then be fired before the third session.
The glaze is applied in the last session.
The process will be completed with a final firing after the workshop. The finished works will be available for pick up 3 to 4 weeks later
Terms and Conditions:
In the case of withdrawal, as long as it is communicated within 7 days prior to the start date of the workshop, the full amount will be refunded.
Should the applicant withdraw or be absent from a class after the start of the training session, no amount will be refunded
The workshop may be cancelled if the minimum number of 4 participants is not reached. Such a cancellation will result in full refund.
Participants are responsible for tidying and cleaning the tools they use and their workspaces before the end of the workshop.
